Delhi Police ACP (Assistant Commissioner of Police) Booked for Raping Woman, Molesting her Minor Daughter, Kidnapping Son
The Delhi Police have registered a case against an assistant commissioner of police (ACP)-rank officer who is accused of raping a woman.
The ACP is identified as Ramesh Dahiya. He is accused of raping a woman on the pretext of marrying her.
The woman has reportedly accused Dahiya of raping her and molesting her minor daughter, news agency ANI said.
Besides this, she has stated that the police officer also kidnapped her son. The woman had filed a rape complaint against Dahiya last month.
Dhaiya was recently promoted to the rank of ACP and was placed under suspension earlier. According to a report in The Hindu, the officer befriended the woman after her husband, a criminal, died.
The report says that the officer raped the woman on multiple occasions but she was scared of reporting the matter, fearing safety of her three children.
Police say the matter is being investigated.
